Angeline Oman is a young woman blessed with beauty but cursed (in her mind) with a mild form of Asperger Syndrome. She often never liked being in the company of people and usually felt uncomfortable with them most of the time. She has a great knowledgeable mind full of stories and questions, yet she’s not quite intellectual, mostly impatient, somewhat slow and pampered. She was bullied as child both by her classmates and by her harsh jerk of a teacher for her ‘otherness’. She has an ungrateful side but she’s has an ultimate fondness for children and loves playing with babies. She also has this obsession with reading and researching literature and old classics, which also becomes her passion and dreams of being a writer herself someday.
Despite her meditative, creative imagination, love of art and politeness, Angeline has phobias of swimming, fireworks and thunder, a hatred for certain insects, can be aggressive, hates doing hard work and even whines/complains about it silently, self-justifying, slightly antisocial and always wants to have the last word. But deep down, Angeline wants someone to relate and talk to, she’s dependent on emotion but will not allow herself to be fooled so easily. She has some trustworthy friends and a few friendly acquaintance but takes no interest in dating but she’s not entirely sure of herself; she has no confidence in herself and fears showing the real her to anyone, she fears relationships but wishes to have someone to talk to that she would deem ‘interesting’. She has a strong spiritual feminist side, admiring female figures such as Joan of Arc, the Virgin Mary, Amazons and Witches. And she hates it when people confuse feminism with misandry.
Angeline does not favor romance nor is she concerned with ‘Mr. Right’ above all things, she has her own interests and doesn’t fall for a cute guy’s charm so easily even when he’s hitting on her (or even when he’s showing some skin), she would always scare him off with crazy talk about how ‘maniacal’ she is or just ignore him and tell him she’s uninterested (but she mostly likes doing the maniac talk). She prefers to talk to the guy first instead of him talking first. Though Angeline does have an admiring interest in looking at Greek/Roman statues of both male and female nude figures, physical fitness is hardly attractive to her, she’s more attracted to minds than bodies.
However whiny she is when doing hard work, she puts her best into getting the job done and making it look neat if not perfect. The only food she knows how to cook are macaroni & cheese and pizza.
Above all, Angeline is impulsive, apathetic (to a limit), hates doing manual labor, sometimes bad at jokes, and occasionally spoiled, but she is an intelligent, strong, caring woman who thinks she doesn’t know herself well when she does already.
